Best Beach in Alaska

Alaska, Photography

I drove down to Kenai this past weekend to check out Mt Redoubt. I wouldn’t mind living in Kenai, or Soldatna. They both have awesome beaches, unlike Anchorage :-)

As you can see it is early April, and the beach is still covered in snow. Under that snow is a bunch of ash. One can smell the sulfur in areas without snow (thanks Redoubt). It appears to be low tide huh ? Nope, the tide was in, that is floating ice you see…this place is awesome :-)

It appears someone is trying to build a fire where they should not. How did they find anything to burn with all that snow.

I wonder if it ever warms up enough there to go in the water. The beach looks a little scary to me but a really nice picture of it.
