Shoes that make running fun

Alaska, BetaRun

Ok. Now that the snow is pretty much melted, I decided it is time to get away from the treadmill and hit the street. I have come to realize that running outside is a little different than a treadmill. For one I have real entertainment, two it is harder ;) Since this is my first marathon, I decided to do something different to make it fun. I am going to run it barefoot. This brings me into another reason break-up is fun. Puddles. Not only do I enjoy driving through them, very fast of course, to make a big splash, but running through them is fun too. I feel like I am six years old ^_^

After work I drove to Wasilla to pick up these cool shoes (pics to follow). They are pretty cool. They are basically a foot glove. I got them to protect my feet from broken glass and sharp rocks , they don’t do much else besides look cool ! You heard it hear folks, I will be running this race with my stylish new foot-gloves. I am hardcore, and that is how I roll !

For those that are going to follow in my awesome footsteps, be sure to focus on calf raises because the calfs get worked a hell lot more than with shoes :-)

Leave it to you Steve — running a marathon in slippers. WOW! Can’t wait to see the pics!

They’re not slippers. Slippers are girly. These are more like feet gloves ^_^ I ran two miles in them last night, found out they really work the calves. I am running a 5K in them this weekend.

My trainer basically called me stupid. All the more reason to do it lol

It really is interesting. I had to adjust how I ran on the fly because how I ran in shoes apparently isn’t the correct technique lol I should probably start out in grass or something, but I am having fun either way ^_^

You’re silly. Why not put springs on your feet and bounce like Tigger. :)

    The wonderful thing about tiggers
    Is tiggers are wonderful things!
Their tops are made out of rubber
Their bottoms are made out of springs!
    They’re bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy
    Fun, fun, fun, fun, fun!
But the most wonderful thing about tiggers is
    I’m the only one
    Tiggers are cuddly fellas
    Tiggers are awfully sweet
    Ev’ryone el-us is jealous
    That’s why I repeat… and repeat

    The wonderful thing about tiggers
    Is tiggers are marvelous claps!
They’re loaded with vim and vigor
They love to leap in your laps!
    They’re jumpy, bumpy, clumpy, thumpy
    Fun, fun, fun, fun, fun!
But the most wonderful thing about tiggers is
    I’m the only one
    I-I-I’m , the only… oof!
    Ouch!

You could be a Tigger, Steve!

Looks like Jess has started reading to Savannah. I will add, she has picked a good story line. :)

Now where are the pictures of your feet gloves (slippers)?
