The ending had to be fake though. I understood everything coming out of “Ozzy’s” mouth ^_^

Congress has voted that March 14th is National Pi Day.
The U.S. House of Representatives on Wednesday approved a resolution introduced two days earlier that designates March 14, 2009 (3/14, get it?) as National Pi Day. It urges schools to take the opportunity to teach their students about Pi and “engage them about the study of mathematics.”
Great idea using this day for teachers to teach students about math and science. It is simply brilliant that it falls on a Saturday this year though :-)
I didn’t make any pie today, but I am making brownies and cookies…which are sometimes round :-)
It appears this has been going on for at least a month, but I encountered it today. I came across a video whose audio, and vidio :), violated a copyright. Instead of taking down the video, the audio was muted with the following message under the video:
This video contains an audio track that has not been authorized by WMG. The audio has been disabled.
It appears they are doing this no matter how long the audio clip is. There was even a case where the video was a child’s birthday, but because of a song playing in the background (not a song that was added to the video, it was playing on a cd player), the audio was muted. Short clips of copyright material is allowed under fair use, it seems Youtube doesn’t care.
I downloaded the video that I encountered, and found out it does include a blank audio track. I extracted the audio track, and sure enough it appears to be an empty mp3 file.
Youtube has been going downhill ever since Google purchased them. It is sad, I really enjoyed it while it lasted. Looks like I will be on a search for a replacement site to waste my time with :-)
“The movers will show up between 8AM and 9AM. I don’t see them taking longer than an hour, they normally pack up and move an entire house in under three hours”
After a long night of organizing and cleaning up, I wake up at 8 AM, tired but ready for the movers. Not really paying attention to the time I do some more organizing so the morning will go smoother and faster. I finally look up at the clock and it is 9:30, still no movers. Strange I have not received a call yet from them telling me they are running late, so I recheck my voicemail to make sure she said it was scheduled for the 20th. It wasn’t until 9:45 that I got a phone call from them explaining they are in traffic. Due to the accident, the traffic kept them until 10:30 when they arrived ready to pack.
Considering it was their job to put things in boxes and make sure nothing can get damaged, I just hung out and got pretty bored in the process. I don’t understand why the hell they didn’t call closer to 8AM or even 9AM. If I had an idea when they would have arrived I would have time to run out and grab a bite to eat. But instead I had to suck it up, after all they were only going to be there for about an hour. When they left I was planning on heading to work and grab some lunch on the way.
They packed things up pretty fast, everything that was going to go got packed within 90 minutes. Well, one of the movers came down with a migraine which slowed things down a whole lot. Needless to say it took a little longer to get the boxes and furniture down to the truck than I expected. After all, only one of the movers was working while the other hung out in the cab. I know how bad migraines can get, I don’t understand why he didn’t call and ask for someone to relieve him.
After they left, I had just enough time to get to the bus stop to meet the 3:25 bus. Yes, 3:25, because of their lack of communication I had to go without breakfast or lunch. How hard is it to plan ahead and count for traffic. When it is encountered and it is a pretty sure deal that you will not be there for the appointment, call ahead and let them know so they are not sitting around with their thumbs up their ass waiting.
I have ten days until I ship out, I have my sleeping bag, laptop, and my DS to pass the time. With luck I can handle it and not go insane like some of my buddies think I will … yes you know who you are :)
